    Imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi will most likely spend her 64th birthday behind bars at Insein Prison in Rangoon on June 19th 2009.
    Burma Action Ireland would like to invite you to use your freedom to promote hers by joining us to mark the occasion of her birthday at an evening vigil.
    The event will take place from 6p.m. to 8p.m. on Friday 19th June 2009 at Fusiliers Arch, St. Stephens Green, Dublin.
    All supporters are urged to take part.

    Info Birmanie France is holding an event dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi for her 64th birthday. Our organization is the French committee coordinating the campaign for the release of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate: celebrating her birthday allows us to design an event centered on her life, and to highlight her political background and the central role she plays in Burma politics.
    It will take place in Paris town hall in the 20th district, where the mayor has publicly called for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and installed a banner on the building in solidarity with Aung San Suu Kyi.
    French MPs, local concillors and well-know figures shall attend the event, as well as Human Righs NGOs representatives and journalists.
    A Burmese buffet will be served to all guests.
    8.30 onwards, Place Gambetta (Métro Gambetta). Free entrance.

  10. Norway

    Amnesty International Norway, Western office in Bergen, together with the Burmese living in Bergen, and the Rafto Foundation we are meeting up for a vigil and prosession through the city centre on Friday the 19.June 2009 at 3pm. We will be going under the parole: Free Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
    We will have several speakers holding appeals on her behalf and that of the over 2100 other political prisoners.
    After the prosession we will have a birthday ceremony at the Raftohouse from 4.30 - 6pm, with a lecture on the situation in Burma now.
